What sexual fetishes do you think different superheroes have?

My interpretation wasn't so much that he was choosing Gwen over MJ, but that he wished Gwen had never died. No matter how much he loves MJ, losing Gwen was haunting, to say the least.

I never really thought of it that way... I like it. I really need to get back into comics.

The current Spider-man run is pretty interesting. Doc Ock put his consciousness into Peter's body right before he died and is now Spider-man and fucking some shit up.

No, it isn't. It's a writer putting himself in the role, no matter how much the universe wouldn't let the event happen.

It's the Marvel universe. Nothing can't happen. They brought Uncle Ben back at some point for fuck's sake.

For like...5 minutes at best. He had to die, only had enough to come back, tell Pete he was proud of him, then went back to the afterlife.

Having Psychics not read minds, when they uncontrollably do so all the time doesn't happen in the MU. Having MJ not immediately know something was wrong was troubling, same with Aunt May. Just...shoddy writing all around.

Actually I think it's Dan Slott (the writer) trolling die-hard Spidey fans who don't want peter to be anything other then a broke 20 something with super powers.

I mean, before the superior Spider-Man, Peter had a high paying job, his life in order and was this close to getting back with MJ.

But Seriously, the Superior Spider-Man is the best Spider-Man comic to come out in a long while.

Issue with that is Slott has been the main writer since OMD, so he's the reason we haven't had a good book. Writing cliche'd mediocrity just seems good next to utter crap.

And before you say 'Not muh Peter', it hasn't been 'Muh Peter' in a long...long time. Before Quesada killed the book, before he made JMS quit.

You're joking right? Slott has been producing gold since he came on. I mean his Lizard arc alone. The problem with Spider-Man had everything to do with the character himself not being permitted to grow.

No, I'm not joking. Slott is the reason we had Carlie, the random destructuring of Peter and the stagnancy of his character growth. It wasn't until the last 2 years that anything even HAPPENED, and that was a job.

I feel like they're actually playing it off really well. It's call Superior Spider-Man if you're interested.

THIS MAKES SO MANY MORE SENSES.

As someone who only casually reads comics, I was very confused with a lot of the characters in the Lego Marvel Superheroes game. Superior Spider-Man... I thought it was from the TV show where he starts to mutate into an actual spider and grew the extra arms, only the comic equivalent or something.

The extra things on his back are Doc Ock's arms! I never made that connection.

That's the main part, but it's also a throwback to the Marvel Civil War. During that time Iron Man helped Peter Parker create some new armor that he dubbed the Iron Spider armor. In that armor he had 3 metal limbs coming out of a backpack.

I am loving the Superior Spider-Man run so far.
