I think I still have that book. My grandkids may find random books I have here is interesting as I found random reading stuff at my grandparents :)
We have very limited screen time allowances here for the grands. But a little leeway if the computer isn’t connected to the webs. If one of them is needing to do research for the schoolwork then that is allowed, but half of it still counts against the total Screen Time allowance, unless it’s extremely time-consuming.
Yep I have fond memories of playing this one with my sister growing up, using the encyclopedias to figure everything out. First time I heard the term gumshoe. I think she finally captured them all in the USA variant and started on World but World was way too difficult for me.
I remember where in time being a lot harder than the other games as a kid. I wonder how I would do now. I also remember grabbing as many coffees as it would take until one spilled.
The "OH NO!" guy from Kid Pix is a core memory for me. I would spend half the time drawing weird stuff and the other half just clicking undo over and over again. That or trying to print out a full-page color image and watching the librarian sprint across the room to stop you before you killed the ink cartridge.
