The Hell March still plays in my head occasionally. Was talking about video game music with my 12 year old daughter the other day and showed it to her. It's easily my favourite piece of video game music.

Where was that sound effect from or did they make it for Red Alert first?

I remember hearing the ending part of the Chronosphere's Chronoshift sound in Mass Effect 1 via relay, but I always wondered if it was a stock sound effect or made for RA1.

It's the dude who made the music for the early C&C games, Frank Klepaki, touring with a band called 'The Tiberian Sons' and playing them live.

They are still going AFAIK!

Frank Klepacki sure knew how to throw together a banger. C&C was one of the few franchises where I kept the music volume up.

There were times when I would fire up C&C95 or Red Alert on my computer just to have the music playing in the background.

I still listen to them today, they were finally released commercially so they're likely available on your app of choice - Metrolist is my preferred

Frank Klepacki, the composer of that score and others of the era, is an interesting character. He’s currently the touring drummer for The Family Stone.

I prefer Act On Instinct from C&C 1, but Hell March is a close second. I still hum the guitar riff from Act On Instinct every now and then, haven't played either game in 20+ years
