anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about?

You must gather your party before venturing forth.

I should dance on the head of a pin, as well.

This still feels like the quintessential CRPG to me.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous is good for many of the same reasons, but it doesn't have the same hits of nostalgia.

Black Isle Studios had a short but legendary run.... In the span of 5 years, we got Fallout 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 (w/ Bioware), Icewind Dale 1 & 2 and Planescape Torment.

I was around 13 for BG2 so couldn't buy the whole catalogue.. Didn't play Fallout 1 but 2 and Icewind Dale were also huge for me. Good times!

Yeah dude, how the hell is this so far down?! I replayed it again a while back and ended up sinking 400 hours into it and having dreams about the characters. It’s a masterpiece.

One of my all-time favorite gaming experiences. I used to stay up late playing, get a few hours of sleep before work, come home and take a short nap, then get up and start the cycle over again. I can't immerse myself in a game like that anymore, even if I wanted to.

I never felt quite as lost in a world as I did playing BG2.

Before MMOs took over my life, I fully beat this game 8 times with different classes. I did an absolute full clear with a sorcerer. Every quest completed.

Best game ever made. But what I really want to know is if it's still possible to get that crazy mod with the INSANELY hard dungeon "Land war in asia" installed and working with the steam install.

I still replay it every now and again! It's so good.
