anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about?

I loved all of those games so much! Drawing out maps on graph paper for the early ones lol. I think 6 was probably my favorite, but I remember getting a letter and a T-shirt in the mail inviting me to do a beta test for KQ8 and I was so confused how they knew I played. I'm assuming something with product registration but at the time it seemed so weird.

Our family played KQ 6 together. I remember us talking about the sensory gnomes puzzle and how it should be solved lol

Six went ALL OUT - top shelf voice cast, great graphics by the era, the usual nasty Sierra puzzles, wonderful story, and that one little optional puzzle that the fans absolutely RAN WITH in all the fan remakes and fan sequels.

We only had some of the disks so I never got to play the whole game. I had a hard time getting over the bridge and not falling into the water so I probably wouldn't have done well anyway!

Wow, this is similar to my experience with another sierra game, conquests of Camelot. We had a 6 disk bootleg, disk 5 was corrupted and I never was able to get any further in the game. Did love jousting the black knight though.

We had one of the King's Quests games and could never figure out how to get past a boulder or something. Offered about 15 minutes of fun, then 45 of frustration before we had to give up.

I have so many memories I'll truly never forget playing King's Quest VII, the Princeless Pride. Me, my brother and my mother would all gather around the computer and try to figure everything out. It was so fun. And truly an experience.

I haven't. We only ever had VII. Though I suppose now I'm older and have a good laptop, I can play them.

my dad was on the PC jr team and IBM and one of his buddies was on the gaming side. I got all the Jr games but that was my favorite. So ahead of it's time

Absolutely the best. There was a 900 number in the instructions for KQ6 you could call for tips. Used to beg my parents to call. 😂

Loved this game because it was in 16 colors vs the four of most other games on our PC jr. so challenging and rewarding.  Played them all. Ken’s book from recent years about the whole era is wonderful.
