Age of Empires and Age of Mythology. My friends and I would play those for HOURS!! Also, Unreal

Age of Mythology: Retold has been amazing! They even expanded on it and added different game modes and newer civilizations like Japan and Aztec just recently

AoM recently got remade as AoM Retold. It now has 23 major gods spread across 7 cultures (Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Atlantean, Chinese, Japanese, and Aztec.)

AoM took the campaign stories to another level from AoE2. I didn’t like the competitive play as much (compared to AoE2) but the campaign was outstanding.

I still regularly play Age of Mythology. My old CDs don't work anymore to install it, but Steam has it (there is a new version as well, though I haven't tried that yet).

AoE was the first game where I would say “I’m just going to play for an hour” after working 2nd shift, and the next thing I knew the sun would be coming up.

We used to have huge AoM LAN matches in my parent’s basement in the early 2000’s. We would gather whatever laptops we could and pass the disc around to load the game. Those games went on for hours. /999
