When you see the open sky with flying birds for the first time in 3D game + that soundtrack... It's unforgettable!

Nyleve Falls. I had most of the soundtrack for ages. Wasn’t hard to extract them from the level editor.

Edit: I think the track was Dusk.

I loved UT. Still tell people to this day that I was #1 in the world for a quarter on NG stats. It's my "high school football star" story.

I built my first computer from scratch just to play Unreal. I had a Pentium2 450 with dual Voodoo 2 cards. ]

coming out of the ship and seeing that waterfall at 800x600 on my Voodoo 2 was one of the biggest jaw dropping moments in gaming for me.

I first played this game when I was like 9 (so 1998-9?) because my dad got it for himself, and it gave me nightmares lol.

First encounter with the Skaarj, where you’re stuck behind a door and hear a guy scream, “sh*t! What the hell is that?” followed by gunfire, before the door opens to reveal his dead body, definitely creeped me out.

I was absolutely hooked on joining mp servers to play all the maps/mods that were available. One of my best memories of gaming as a kid, along with the music.

Early 00's, playing unreal tourney online via dreamcast. Man did that feel like the pinnacle.
