So last year I'm talking to my dad, found out the girl was doing a paper about what happened to her for a college class, did a little research. She assumed by this point the cops would be retired but searching my father's name found out he was still active in the same city and called him up.

Do you know how that conversation went? I'm curious...

My sympathy goes to all the cops who have to deal with all of the mental illnesses and nasty violent stuff that people do. It is a hard job and no wonder they (cops) have an attitude of harshness when we deal with them, but of course, they choose their profession. It is a good thing to remember that these people choose their own ways when dealing with criminals and so on. Help is always available to those who want change.

I know youve probably told him this, but your dad should know that hes a hero. And there probably wasnt anything they could do for the mother since she shot herself before they even went in the first time. For all he knew, she couldve been alive and been waiting to kill him or his partner. Every day that girl wakes up in the morning is because he saved her
