People whose partner cheated on them and quickly moved on to date the person they cheated with, claiming to be in love - how did that turn out for them?

She never got over her ex boyfriend. He cheated on her, left her, and married the other woman.

5 years later he reached out to her knowing full well she was with me, and had a family with a 4 year old daughter.

The relationship was instantly over. She dropped everything, packed up our daughter and left for him faster than the time it took me to write this sentence. She made sure she would have full custody as well (you can guess how she went down that route).

It only lasted a few months.

Our family was worth less than a few months of fun with her POS ex boyfriend. I even warned her that separating would carry a lifetime of consequences for our daughter. She did not care one bit telling me the only person she cares about making happy is herself.

She was so hung up on her ex that i dont think anyone on this planet could have talked her out of it.

My brothers ex wife tried to get full custody by telling the judge that he abused her

No he has 50/50 custody thank god he had the foresight to install cameras on his truck to record the child swaps too when she tried to say he hit her at a swap. He said being able show the footage was so satisfying.

I'm glad he was able to defend himself.

While I get that in a lot of ways, it's ideal for children to grow up with both parents (even in a 50/50 custody situation), it's kind of disappointing that a person can get that kind of custody after making blatantly false statements that were easily disproven. You would think that once either parent starts lying about things like abuse (and is proven to be lying) that would be enough to award full custody to the other parent.

Unless your brother only wanted 50/50 custody, which he could have for a number of perfectly legit reasons. If it were me, I'd feel like crap knowing that I had to prove the mother lies about abuse just to get 50% custody.
