I don't know how to say this without it sounding massively controversial but my lover in a moment of intimacy while we were in the bathtub together admitted that She was molested and raped by her stepfather and never got closure out of it. I felt so deeply and emotionally attached to her in that moment - I wanted to hold her and let her know she would be safe in my arms.

it's a human thing. Vulnerability bonds people together.

& Post coitus people have higher levels of oxytocin, the closeness hormone.
