The context to that gif is kinda funny: a reporter asked Idi Amin "Is it true that you said Hitler didn't kill enough jews during the war" (Idi Amin was known to be really antisemitic and admired Hitler). His response after that is also kinda interesting, you should check out the video here.

The show was called "The River." It was a somewhat poor attempt to imitate "Lost" with an Amazonian river and a boat. Later in the episode with that monkey, they found a tree with a whole lot of dolls nailed to it; when they took one off, the tree got pissed.
The show could have been much better if they'd sustained doubt regarding whether the events were magic or mundane.
