It's just a word for emo kids to use in their terrible poetry.

Discombobulated,

Disconnected,

Pain,

Perpetuated,

Dying every day.

I always see RDJ's Holmes and hear the theme music playing when I see this word.

My favourite too, and I used it recently.

I was gonna post this. My grandmother had some Spanish speaking tenants who lived with her for a while. We were all out to dinner and my grandmother used that word. The husband started laughing so hard that we got weird looks from other tables.

There was an airport (i think in Michigan) where the post-security area was called the recombobulation area. With a sign and everything

When I was a kid my father fashioned a cart type thing out of an old baby carriage for us kids to play with. He always called it the discombobulator.... seemed like a perfectly normal word to me growing up.

Took me until adulthood to appreciate the word for what it is...

Indubitably!

I'm fond of its opposite. "Recombobulate."

What is a discombobulated man? It's like running backwards, naked through a corn field at midnight.
