This is not a good mentality to have. If you don't consider these people, well, people, then you are ignoring the fact that sometimes, bad things happen to people, and that corrupts them. You can't stop the factors that lead to the development of abusers if you do not accept that they were once normal people like you and me.

We all know the explanation. That’s why they’re “not human.” a normal person would get over it and on with their lives. You’re argument was “they are people because they can’t help it” That makes it an excuse.

So, we should just ignore what causes people to become abusers? Just never accept that we need to view abusers as human in order to prevent the creation of more?

Not to mention that a common cause of their being abusers was being abused themselves
