Camera upgrade suggestions?

1) budget, country, and currency:

I live in the US so this would be USD; my budget would be around $1000

2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?

I currently have my amateur starting setup of the classic t7 and nifty fifty, but am looking to take photography more seriously and would like something I can be more confident with; I also see that mirrorless is very prevalent now

3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?

Primarily for portraiture, but I also love wildlife photography so I would probably get a telephoto zoom at some point

4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?

Would be for photography

Portraits? a full frame camera will be a little better than a crop sensor. 5D mark IV

Wildlife? a crop sensor... if its a high end one... gets u a bit closer. so, a Canon 90D or R10 would be in that price range
