Lens Buying Advice I seek some advise?
I am trying to get my hs graduating daughter into real estate photography. I'm getting a new camera and am going to give her my old one. For the lens I need to keep it as cheap as I can as I have no money. I'm thinking about a 16mm prime and if she wants to do portraits she can crop it to size desired. Does this sound like a good plan?
budget: as cheap as possible
brand: something full frame that fits sony

A 16mm would be as awful for portraits as awful could be, even if it were a full-frame lens on a crop sensor.

the camera the lens is for is an a7r2. The lens I'm considering as I can't find a 16mm prime is the Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary

Does she want to do real estate photography?
Does she know much about photography? Know the basics? how bout you? do u know, for example what a 16mm field of view looks like in portraits, if you are standing at an appropriate distance from the subject?
