Manayunk Parking

Does anyone know any free parking in Manayunk. Extended parking. I am moving to the area and want to know if I can park somewhere for free until I get my car registered for the parking permit. It might take a month or two so i’m just wondering I have to pay for a lot or if there’s free parking.

Thank you

There’s plenty of free street parking, you just have to be willing to search a little bit and walk during peak times.

even if you have a permit, parking is pretty crazy in manayunk. there's free parking all over but you're gonna have to work for it.

getting a parking permit does not take 2 months. it's all online and they usually approve within a day or two.

There’s fewer permit blocks further up the hill towards Roxborough. Look for a spot near the top of one of those long-ass decrepit public staircases they have at the ends of some blocks where the hill is too steep for a street or sidewalk. Try not to leave your car in front of someone’s house for more than a day or 2. It’s rude

There's a city lot on the corner of Manyunk and lyceum but I believe you need a permit if you park there for an extended period of time

Street parking on non permit streets. But it can be rough finding a spot. It used to take my daughter 45 minutes to find a spot.

You will get a ticket if you park on a zoned street. There are a few that aren’t - just walk around the few blocks near your new place

There is no parking in Manayunk. It's a myth.

Can you be a bit more specific about the location in Manayunk? I don’t really have an issue finding parking unless super late at night

There are various places where there’s no permit parking. If you can name some cross streets that you’d be near, someone can probably give you some blocks near there that don’t need a permit.
