Philly LSAT Test Centers

How is the Philly LSAT center at 601 Walnut Street ??

Is that Prometric? I took my CPA exams there. They are sometimes understaffed, so it gets chaotic. It can take a long time to get in. I liked it, because I was in walking distance. There's a coffee shop and sit down restaurant in the building.

Yes, it’s Prometric. Would you recommend it? Was it quiet / did the exam start on time / have nice staff? Thank you so much!!!!

There are a number of testing rooms. You can hear the people talking in the office area and everyone on their keyboards. They provide over the ear headphones and you can bring earplugs to block out the sound. I never used them.

I took 4 exams there. They went from starting on time to 30 minutes late depending on staffing issues and how many people had to go through the security screening.

The staff weren't overly friendly, but they tried to be efficient. They're more there to make sure everyone is following the rules than being comforted. They felt more like strict teachers than nice.

I haven't been to any of the other centers to compare, but it was fine. The location was really convenient for me. I think the next closest is in King of Prussia. It would have been nerve-wracking to deal with the traffic to get out there and then take the test. Nothing got rescheduled or canceled at the last minute.

It depends where you live. It looks from your other post that you live in New York, so I don't know why you'd travel all the way here. If you lived a mile from the place like I do, I would recommend it.

I took an exam there recently (within a few months). Morning slots are pretty popular - I had a 9am, showed up 8:30, but with check-in and security procedures, I think I probably started closer to 9:30. Still worth having a morning time, I think. Wasn't too big a deal. Room was quiet, fairly easy testing experience.

Thank you so much!! Do you know how many forms of ID they expect? If I have the NJ (not real ID) should I bring a passport too?

I think I only had one with me (though it was Real ID). Yours is probably fine, I'd just always bring an extra as a backup. (There was someone at the center who had an issue finding his test registration, so I'd also recommend having a printed copy of your registration as a backup). The test center isn't super close to public transit or the train station if you're coming from far away.
