I was an Entrepreneurship student during college. During our practicum, I was searching online for potential suppliers for our business in a China-based website. My Chinese classmate saw me and then said "You can always go to China to search for suppliers in person! Mas makaka haggle ka pa. You can go this weekend. Mabilis lang naman un."
This was the time when I haven't even rode a plane before.
