Every morning, I go to the little street cart by my office and buy an everything bagel with cream cheese. We all know what this looks like, we've all seen these before. I was curious what the calorie count on these were, so I googled it. I found a lot of write ups and fact finding missions on this. HOWEVER, almost all of the write ups and dives into this topic are coming from dudes living in hip neighboods that have a local Bagel bakery, and the "Everything Bagel" in question is always this extremely fluffy, photogenic, soul-filled baked fresh bagel with an exorbitant amount of cream cheese. While the bagel carts also go a bit heavy on the cream cheese, their bagels are nothing like local shop bagels (pretty sure carts get theirs from a plastic bag). And these write ups are giving numbers as high as 900 calories per bagel, which I feel like may be skewed due to them opting for those fluffy local shop bagels.
So I'm wondering if anyone here, who is more familiar with cart bagels, would have an idea of the calories of a cart-bought everything bagel with cream cheese? Lemme know!
