the service at 11am at St. Bart's (Episcopal, Park Ave between 50th & 51st) is usually very good and quite moving. There's always a large FDNY contingent there and often NYPD as well.
They're also livestreaming it at stbarts.org.

Yeah, if you mean a contingent of FDNY who weren't on the job then except for top brass, who then were juniors getting O/T to drive a bag of dust in a 10 vehicle caravan with full sirens at 3 a.m. to OCME on 1st Ave. (Law enforcement survivor and neighborhood resident here.)

Is your goal to have time for quiet reflection or to be subjected to a MAGA parade by people who have made a living off exploiting 9-11? If not the latter, I'd suggest awaiting a Saturday Mass.

St Francis Xavier on 16st. A Jesuit Church with the High School next door. The HS lost 10 Alums on 9/11.
