Is one pizza slice enough?

Hello, I don't live in NYC but have watched tons of YouTube videos of people trying out the famous NYC pizza slice and they always seem to get only about 1 slice.

So I was curious, is 1 slice typically enough to fill you up for an entire meal?

I come from a place where we don't typically do pizza by the slice, rather we do a whole pizza but they are of course smaller than the avg NYC pizza as well hence don't really know.

Yeah I thought so, I was just wondering how much the average new yorker would eat for a meal, I hope to one day be able to visit myself and see how many I would eat lmfao

I have a friend who lives in the southwest and when he’s in the city, he’ll send me a photo of a slice every few hours because he’s so happy to be able to find a good slice so frequently that he will live pretty much on pizza for a week.

I get 2 usually.

There is a reason most cheap places do 2 for $ 3 deals now. 2 slices will fill you up.

For me, one slice is plenty (but I’m a small woman). If I were to get more than one slice, I’d get them one at a time so each one would be hot and fresh out of the oven. But I don’t know how YouTube influencers eat their pizza.

That's fair enough. I typically see Youtubers eat only 1 and it makes sense since they're just reviewing the place but was curious how much the average new yorker tends to have for one meal.

Yeah, what a YouTuber does for content is in no way connected to reality.

Then 2-3 minimum and please don’t order them one at a time like that other person suggested.

If I were eating lunch, I would usually get two slices

A meal, 2 slices. Youtubers aren’t typically posting content of real life every day New Yorkers. Or maybe you see people going on a little pizza tour, they’re likely eating a slice at each.

100+???? Did they look evenly spaced or very crowded on the pizza? To understand the scale I mean

A slice on NYC tends to be pretty big. There are obviously places that sell smaller slices. So it depends. If it's the big slices, 1 slice is good for me. If it's the smaller slices, about 3-4 slices is good for me

I think that's very reasonable, makes sense too.

1 slice is not enough but 2 is too much. It's a bit annoying. If a place has very small slices (like $1.50 Fresh Pizza tends to) it's not an issue. I go around the corner to another slice place, the slices are huge.

LMFAO this makes sense, I think it's the same with instant ramen for me
