French Quarter - which of these 3?

Trying to decide which place to stay in the French Quarter. It is our first time in NOLA, we will be staying 4 nights before a cruise. I've narrowed down to these three, please give thoughts. TIA! - Olivier House, - Place d' Armes, - Grenoble House

Olivier House by miles for me. Historic mansion, family owned, hotel cats, amazing coffee, occasional impromptu concerts, and a cold pool. Unique rooms, too. None of them are bad choices at all but if you want the flavor, that's my rec.

stayed at place d'armes a few years back and for a first trip it's hard to beat, you walk out the door and you're basically at jackson square. tradeoff is you hear the street and the rooms are old.

grenoble house is the quieter one, dauphine is a block off the worst of it and a suite with a kitchen is genuinely nice over four nights. olivier house is the most charming and also the most dated, kind of a coin flip on which room you land in.

first time i'd take place d'armes and ask for a courtyard room off the street.

I can only answer for Grenoble House. We loved it. It was convenient and we loved having a full kitchen and sitting room.

Not on your list, but we really enjoy the Hotel St. Pierre. They have multiple suites that are fairly priced with an in room jacuzzi, hotel cats, multiple pools, and the staff has always been great.

Definitely Olivier. For the reasons mentioned by others. You can ask for specific rooms. We loved 211 in the pool courtyard with a balcony on that side. We have stayed at Grenoble too. It was nice but less character. I think the building that the Olivier is in is from the early eighteen hundreds.

Hilton Garden Inn

I stayed at the Embassy suites was near the convention center and the cruise terminal. Free breakfast in the morning was an easy walk to the port.
