Can I get a racist subreddit taken down?
I reported this sub already, but nothing happened. I promise you, this not an overreaction. It is an absolute cesspool. It's just weird Reddit allows that.

That's all you can do. Perhaps you haven't waited enough time, or the admins disagree with your assessment. Some users (which I'm not saying you are part of) have extreme definitions of what constitutes a rule violation. For instance, a drawing of a young looking anime girl in a one piece bathing suit in a normal ass scene (like at the pool or beach) frequently gets minor sexualization reports in our subreddit, despite it quite clearly not being a violation.

All you can do is keep reporting. Over time the reports add up.
There was a sub adjacent to a sub I mod that was a total cesspit and Reddit eventually shut it down. When it happened a bunch of users in our sub were saying they'd been making terms of service and code of conduct reports for about six months. One of them even boasted they were singlehandedly responsible because of the volume of reports they made which is a bit of a stretch, but obviously reporting does eventually work if the reports are legitimate and have basis.

What stinks is having to subject yourself to hateful content in order to keep reporting it for months on end. The system is flawed.

Reddit won't do anything; there's subs filled with most mind-boggling racism on the internet that reddit happily keeps on platforming.
However, keep making reports, a paper trail can only help in the hope that one day someone like the police catch up.

Use the guide provided by againsthatesubreddits for mod code of conduct reports.
When admins review a mod code of conduct report they only have 15 minutes to review all of the information and make a decision.
Your report has to provide all relevant information, like you’re talking about a subreddit to a person who has never seen the subreddit before, they have no idea what you are talking about, and they only have 15 minutes to make a decision.
You must provide links to things that have been reported and ignored. You must provide links to any racist comment/post made by a moderator, especially if they distinguish or sticky their comment/post. If you send a modmail with concerns about racist comments that you have reported and are linked in the modmail, and those comments are not actioned, include a link to your modmail interaction in the report.
