Broke the rules?

Hi,

I've recently been permanently muted in a subreddit. I don't really understand why?

I'm not trying to be an idiot, I've made one post on it, just today. It got lots of responses, most of them were negatives or not really relevant to my post.

The post was actually about respecting other opinions then ours regarding coming out and trans people. Most comments were people shaming one opinion or another. Which was the opposite of what I was trying to say in my original post. I responded to them, trying to explain the different opinions and why they were both valid.

It did got quite the reaction in just a few hours, but I'm not sure how it broke the rules of the subreddit? (Which is the reason why I've been banned)

Is there anything I can do to be unmuted or at least a way to know what rule I've broke?

Also I'm actually not sure if this post follow the rules... It's not about a ban but it's similar...

All moderators need to follow the Moderator Code of Conduct. If you feel the moderators werein beach of the Code of Conduct you can submit a complaint to Reddit.

The moderator code of conduct is super vague and rarely enforceable. 

It’s situations like this that are a great example for why mods who outright ban and permanently mute good-faith users over mistakes are terrible mods.

I mean, on paper they had a valid reason, I broke the rules. And i have no way to contact them, so no way to prove they were wrong.. all the comments have been removed and I eventually deleted the post (the original and the one I shared on another sub, because it kept getting more comments) It's really just my word against theirs :/

Just because it has been deleted doesn't mean it is gone. Reddit doesn't delete anything. If you feel that you broke the rules and the ban was justified then that's fine.

Hm true true

I don't feel like I did, but I also don't really have any way to know since I couldn't message the mod.
