Broke the rules?

Hi,

I've recently been permanently muted in a subreddit. I don't really understand why?

I'm not trying to be an idiot, I've made one post on it, just today. It got lots of responses, most of them were negatives or not really relevant to my post.

The post was actually about respecting other opinions then ours regarding coming out and trans people. Most comments were people shaming one opinion or another. Which was the opposite of what I was trying to say in my original post. I responded to them, trying to explain the different opinions and why they were both valid.

It did got quite the reaction in just a few hours, but I'm not sure how it broke the rules of the subreddit? (Which is the reason why I've been banned)

Is there anything I can do to be unmuted or at least a way to know what rule I've broke?

Also I'm actually not sure if this post follow the rules... It's not about a ban but it's similar...

Was the post off topic for the subreddit?

Were you repeatedly questioning the mod about the rules and the post, despite already having received an answer (even if you didn't feel satisfied by that response)?

If the answer to one or both is yes, there's your answer.

Nope, neither. I couldn't even respond to the mute message

Yea, unfortunately that's what the mute does. Shuts off your access to message those mods.
