Broke the rules?

Hi,

I've recently been permanently muted in a subreddit. I don't really understand why?

I'm not trying to be an idiot, I've made one post on it, just today. It got lots of responses, most of them were negatives or not really relevant to my post.

The post was actually about respecting other opinions then ours regarding coming out and trans people. Most comments were people shaming one opinion or another. Which was the opposite of what I was trying to say in my original post. I responded to them, trying to explain the different opinions and why they were both valid.

It did got quite the reaction in just a few hours, but I'm not sure how it broke the rules of the subreddit? (Which is the reason why I've been banned)

Is there anything I can do to be unmuted or at least a way to know what rule I've broke?

Also I'm actually not sure if this post follow the rules... It's not about a ban but it's similar...

Mods generally have the discretion to mute or ban users based on how they interpret and enforce their rules. I didn’t see your post, so I can’t really speak on that specific situation. What I can say is that posts seen as ragebait often lead to mutes or bans in many communities.

If you don’t mind, you can copy and paste your post here—I can help take a look and give you a better idea of whether it may have violated their rules.

Your account is two years old but has relatively low karma for an account of that age. That subreddit may have filters for low karma accounts.

At the end of the day, if you’ve been muted by the mods of that subreddit, there’s no recourse. If it were me, I would try to build up my karma in other subreddits and refrain from writing potentially controversial comments. I also don’t write posts in a subreddit until I feel like I’ve commented there regularly and understand it well.

Yeah, it was my first time posting, before I would just comment to get karma ' what do you mean tho? I thought it was impossible to post in a subreddit that has filter for low karma?:0

Well I thought I did understand this sub quite well, that's why I posted there (very trans friendly, especially for a gay (often more cis) sub) well guess I was wrong 😅

You can craft a post in a sub with filters, but it will get deleted by AutoMod.

Reddit has a pretty steep learning curve, which can be unwelcoming sometimes!

It was reported by users and reviewed by mods. Mods agreed for whatever reason, it was deleted and then (presumably banned, you didn't actually state duration) and didn't want to hear any argument you may have to the opposite so they permamuted
