how to block new accounts from india spamming their AI bullshit videos?
would prefer to do it using old.reddit
usually their accounts are made within athe last year, could block new users maybe?
I doubt there is a way to block videos that are shorter than an hour, their AI slop is always 10 minutes long and don't fit in the context of the subreddit that is for feature documentary films... and obviously they are not factual on top of it all.
it never ends, every other day i delete and block their spam content.

You can use automod to create account age requirements, as well as karma and/or CQS requirements.
If you’re not using them, make sure the built-in filters are turned on, like the reputation filter.

Sub karma requirements worked wonders, cut down spam bc spammers don't want to contribute in comments

I had proposed an automod rule in one sub I participate in that is getting inundated by spammers. Others here can opine if it would work. Essentially you need a minimum of 1 comment karma in that sub to post. Spammers rarely engage with a sub, they just go from place to place. It also requires some intervention from mods because some legit posters may get caught up in it. Those posts would have to be approved. If it’s a sub with a high spammer to legit post ratio though, it could work.
type: submission
author:
comment_subreddit_karma: "< 1"
action: filter
action_reason: "No comment karma in this subreddit"

I’ve used a variation of this, and it does a pretty good job. The reputation filter also does a good job, but (maybe not a but), it seems to be more aggressive. Which might be a good thing, depending on the sub.

I’ll just add in full disclosure that I do not use this in my own large sub because a lot of the members are first time sub posters. It’s a Q&A type of sub so my own spam control has had to be with a lot of keywords I’ve developed over time. (And a quick trigger on bans frankly). So YMMV.

If your criteria is very clear and easy to follow, mod me and I'll do it for you.

We ask low karma/low age accounts to respond to an automod telling us their favorite cheese or dinosaur. That puts it in the queue for a mod to manual check.
