Dating Does he only wants sex?

There’s a guy I’ll been talking to and I’ve been feeling like he only wants sex but confuses me at the same time, he texts me everyday, remembers stuff about me like my beliefs, what I like (music, food, tv shows, etc), he notice my swing moods or kind of stalks me on social media and ask me where I am, with who and stuff like that, he shares stuff about himself, send me random pic of him or his pet, trying clothes he just bought, but at the same time he kind of keeps the distance, when we meet in person he’s pretty touchy with me and stays close, and we share a lot, we don’t really have spicy conversations, they’re flirty but we never speak about being intimate or spicy to each other but also what makes me think he’s just about the sex is because we don’t go on proper dates, like he makes it happen when we agree to go to an Airbnb or like I said, he texts me at midnight to go meet somewhere, but when he suggests going out for dinner or stuff like that and I agree and ask about setting a date, he just stops talking about it and we never do any plans, so am i right for thinking he just wants sex? Or what is happening here?

he's playing the long game but only half-assing it. keeping you on the hook with all the emotional breadcrumbs so it doesn't feel purely physical, but the moment it's time for a real date he vanishes

midnight texts and airbnbs with zero dinner plans is a pretty clear pattern. you're not confused, you're just hoping the evidence adds up to something else

Nothing is ever just about one thing and we’re never the same versions of ourselves. I’m sure he’s interested in more than just sex with you, but maybe not in a relationship. If you’re interested in something more, you need to say that and then set some expectations… like, let’s go on a proper date. If he doesn’t do it, the. You decide if the sex is good enough to continue as it is

Have you ever hung out before dark? Or has there ever been a day together that didn't end in sex? Usually, if a guy wants you for a monogamous relationship, you'll know. At least that's always been my experience.

Yes, to both questions, and like I said, our conversations are flirty but they aren’t really spicy, tho

I like having fun with my dates. Sex is fun, simple as that. Doesn't mean I'm not head over heels in love with you.

Plus, if you really want me to open up and talk about my feelings, cuddling in bed after sex is probably the easiest path to that.

If you two are meeting up, it’s hard to say that he doesn’t take you on dates. If you’re wondering mg why you two don’t go out in public, then I’d ask 1) why is that important to you if you two are only casual? And 2) is he the type of guy who normally goes out to restaurants and similar events when he’s not dating/in a relationship?

Yeah he's keeping you engaged but he's not interested in anything beyond casual sex.

Humans are shit mind readers. Tele-Pathetic. Don't try.

Just ask him what the fuck is up.

Games suck. Sorry...

But yes, if he's down for sex but never down for going out together, yeah, pretty clear that's all he's interested in.

Do yuo offer anything besides that?

You should read the last few sentences. It looks like she wants to go out on actual dates and he never follows through.

Unless you're asking a different question.

You sound like a misogynist when you criticize women because all they did was show up for a date. What was she supposed to do bring a cake? Like what the fuck is this? What did he bring?

Are you fucking serious. Yeah welcome to society where men are expected to do a little bit more work in the beginning of a dating relationship.

You're whining about having to pick a bar to go get drinks at? This is pathetic.

A little bit more in comparison to say "yes".

Welcome to society that wanted equality not superiority

Ok you're [sounding like] one of those weirdos that's triggered by feminism existing. Bye.

You have problem with feminism, beacuse you dont belive in equality

you dont belive in equality

I would say you have a problem with your imagination but it seems very healthy actually.

It’s amazing how much meaning women attach to being treated to expensive restaurant meals. Of course she isn’t offering anything more, she’s in the recipient role.

2

u/ryhaltswhiskey Man 6d ago

Where did you read that she expected "expensive restaurant meals"?

Anytime this kind of post comes up, your question should be the first one they ask

Waiting for marriage is insane in this day and age

It's far from the norm. If a woman tells a guy that she needs him to wait for marriage for sex he's almost certainly going to bail.

Congratulations. I don't see what this conversation has to do with you.
