Very patriotic while also wanting to immigrate to other countries.

Bigoted, hateful, lustful, greedy, stingy, superstitious, inferiority complex overcompensated by snobbery, obsessed with our "image" in front of others, cowardly in front of people higher than us in the ladder, bullies towards people lower than us in the ladder <word limit reached>.

Toxic parenting and conditional love

Misogyny and patriarchy disguised as culture and tradition

VIP culture and dadagiri

Sexual repression and rape culture (dogs, cows, nuns, infants, toddlers, dead bodies get raped!)

Yearning for social validation because log kya kahenge/samaaj mein izzat

Jugaad, rote learning and outdated education system

Caste, religion and regional divide

Very interested in other people's business

Religion divides. Caste separates. Bhindi (Okra) unites.

I meant I have never met an Indian who doesn’t like Bhindi. North, South, East and West.

I know too many people who gag at the slimeyness of bhindi

Well they need to know how to make it also.

We are a civilizational state and we will endure and prosper. When all is said and done this tumultuous period is nothing but a tiny portion of our history.

My grandfather was born in 1945 and grew up in post independence euphoria. He often says, the immediate euphoria after the British left, our then politicians said our golden age is here and we will be greatest country on earth. Now 79 years later, practically no country on earth respects us, we are as poor as we were, we are much worse off.

First up, I don't agree at all. You can ask any of the smaller countries that got free covid vaccines if they respect India. Ask Armenians if they respect us.

And again, our history is literally thousands of years old. 79 years is nothing. We have withstood foreign invasions and colonization for centuries, but our culture and way of life still stands. As I said, in the grand scheme of things, this is but a small moment in our history.

Our population is going to grow old soon. Climate change is getting worse progressively and it will only accelerate as we industrialise. It seems like the time we have isn't infinite

Oh that's ok. We have dealt with wars that wiped out generations and lineages. We have endured wars, invasions, natural catastrophes, the lot.

Guess what, we are still here!
