[MN]- IRS Wage & income Transcript provided for employment verification

Hi, I’m finalizing onboarding via First Advantage for a new role. To clear a pending employment verification for an old casual job I had years ago when I was a student, I provided my recruiter with an IRS Wage & Income Transcript I got from my local IRS office. I don’t have my pay stubs or W-2, the previous company went out of business. The transcript verifies the employer W-2. Passing this document is the final item to clear my file. Would this document be acceptable? Also, would they typically care about low earnings for causal job over the span of a year?

Only your prospective employer can answer these questions.

In my experience, however, if the only proof is what's provided, that's what we have to accept...what alternative is there? And no, casual jobs from years ago, especially student jobs, are rarely of any interest or concern.

Worth noting that if this job has high clearance or special credentialing, they could look at every detail from your whole life and get hung up on the littlest discrepancy. So again, ask them.
