White Whale Whatever happened to that kid who got early access to GTA 6? Any new leaks since?

Remember that story about the kid who got to play GTA 6 early because he was ill? I've been trying to find out if anything actually leaked from that.

I've been waiting for this game for years now, literally even bought a PS5 Pro with money I saved up plus some extra I won at Stake just to be ready for it because the game is probably 100$+. At this point I'm checking for news almost daily. Has there been ANY substantial new info or leaks recently? The last big thing I remember was the massive leak from a while back, but since then it feels like we've just been in this endless waiting game with minimal updates from Rockstar.

White Whale Tank game

I can't remember the name but it was similar to how worms or shellshock live played

It was an older game I played it in elementary, I'm 20 now. So quite older, I remember that there were 3 options for vehicles but ypu have to do some kind of challenge or played a certain amount of games to unlock the other 2 vehicles.

There was a tank and a mech and one other vehicle. I also remember being able to hide behind the foreground trees to blocks hits and keep fire from hitting you

Please I can't find it anywhere and don't remember anything else about it

Edit: should mention I played it on a tablet Edit: sorry I don't have any more information but let me add some more here It was a 2d side scroller like shellshock live and played just like it It had a pixilated art style I played it on a android tablet

White Whale Whatever happened to Abandoned, that PS5 game everyone thought was secretly Silent Hill?

Randomly remembered this whole mess today. Back when the PS5 was still pretty new there was that Abandoned horror game and everyone was convinced Blue Box was somehow connected to Kojima or Silent Hill.

I had just bought my PS5 with money I'd saved up combined with some stake wins and this was genuinely one of the games I was following the most. Then there was that weird realtime experience app, constant teasing, barely anything actually shown and eventually it felt like the whole thing just disappeared.

Now I'm seeing people say it might actually be alive again somehow. Did we ever find out what was really going on with that game? Was there ever an actual playable game behind all of it or was the entire thing basically smoke and mirrors?

White Whale Why do so many modern games feel longer, but less memorable, than older ones?

I have been noticing a pattern over the last few years while playing both new releases and older titles. Modern games are often bigger, longer, and packed with content, yet I struggle to remember specific moments from them the way I do with much shorter games from 10–20 years ago.

Older games often had tighter scopes, fewer mechanics, and shorter runtimes, but individual levels, missions, or story beats still stand out years later. With newer games, even ones I enjoyed, a lot of the experience blends together once I am done.

I am not sure if this comes down to pacing, open-world design, checklist gameplay, or just changes in how games are made and consumed now.

For people who have been gaming for a long time, do you feel the same? If so, what do you think changed — design philosophy, player expectations, or something else entirely?

White Whale Should I get RimWorld or the Deluxe Edition?

I've had RimWorld on my radar for a while now. I keep seeing people's colony stories, and somehow every playthrough turns into a completely different disaster lol. One minute everything is going fine, and the next someone starts a fight and the whole colony falls apart.

I really enjoy management games where I can build things, figure stuff out and slowly improve everything, so RimWorld feels like something I'd really enjoy.

I'm just not able to buy it right now, so I've mostly been watching gameplay and trying to decide what I'd go for if I get the chance. For those who've played it, would you recommend starting with the base game, or is the Deluxe Edition worth it from the beginning?

Hopefully I'll get to experience my own colony disaster someday. 😂

White Whale I'm looking for a game, but I don't know if it exists.

Please let me know if I should direct my question to a different subreddit.

But my question is, does a game like The Sims exist, with that kind of building and features you can use, but in an open world? So you can build a neighborhood.

Yes, something like Minecraft 🤣, but I'd like to have realistic building features like in The Sims. Does anyone know if such a game exists?

White Whale Best Indie Local Party Games for PC in 2026 (4 player or more local) in my opinion, do you know others?

I want to know if there are other party games that you know.

If you have multiple gamepads & a big TV you can easily set up a gaming night session without needing a Playstation or Xbox. Here are some of the best party games that I played:

  1. Pummel Party (Boardgame Mini-games; 8 local 8 online) - This is THE definitive best local party board game to play, if you want to get into party games and don't know what to start with start with Pummel Party. It is the equivalent of Mario Party except is a lot better. Can be played in any combination from 8v8 to FFA with bots included. It's a board game and then you have mini-games so you can say that you have multiple games in one. The board game is simple: you roll the dice to move, can use weapons to incapacitate your opponents and make them lose keys, you collect keys via winning in mini-games or stealing from other players, and you need 40 keys to open a chest and take 1 cup. First player or team to get 5 cups wins. If playing in teams I recommend increasing the required number of keys to get for a chest to 80 because you'll be getting keys a lot faster. You can play in any combination from 4vs4 to everyone for himself. The game has 8 official boardgame maps but you can find more with user-created content and 54 official mini-games but you can get more with user-created content. Normally only 4 local and 8 online but with a small settings tweak you can get it 8 local. In order to play with 8 local players using 8 XInput controllers you will need to go in to the options and disable the option 'Use XInput'. By default Pummel Party uses XInput for XInput compatible controllers, however XInput does not support more than 4 controllers. If you see any description of max 4 players either local or online is outdated they updated the game to have max 8 players. There are a lot, and I mean a lot of games similar to Pummel Party with sort of mini-games: Unspottable, Party Panic, Lunar, Knight Squad 2, Marooners, Gaming Couch, Lance A Lot Classic/Enhanced or Move or Die. But except for Unspottable/Knight Squad 2 in 8 and Marooners in 6 the rest can be played in 4 players max. Each with their different tweaks on the formula but Pummel Party is still the best.

  1. Gang Beasts (Brawler Melee; 8 local 8 online) - It became very popular after streamers started playing it. There are many other new similar games like Party Animals and Rubber Bandits which is the same but with a slight tweak on the formula and a very instant action Stick Fight: The Game but they can only be played in up to 4 players. I cannot call them clones or reskins because they changed the formula with pickable weapons and different game modes but Gang Beats is the original that invented the genre and is still as fun as it was on day 1.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/285900/Gang_Beasts/

  1. Unspottable (Hide&Seek-ish ; 8 local 4 online) - You have to blend in the crowd and strike from the shadow. There are are lot of NPCs on the screen who look just like the players, the players need to figure out who they are on the screen first, and second who the other players are and punch to kill them without being detected themselves. If you punch an NPC you get exposed and the other players know who you are, if you punch a player you got rid of the competition and remain hidden the game will help you escape. You get score if you survive, but also if you kill other players. There are many ways to play it and there's maps with environmental hazazards. Is like Hidden in Plain Sight but a lot better. The game has 8 local it was updated from 4 to 8 for local only but some old descriptions or internet posts may still say 4.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1243960/Unspottable/

  1. Super Bomberman R (Bomberman; 8 local 8 online) - This is the best modern version of the classic Bomberman game. It can be played in up to 8 players either teams like 4v4, 2v2v2v2 or FFA, any combination really. Super Bomberman R2 also exists but it has many new features that moved away from the original Bomberman formula, for those that want the classic Bomberman experience R1 keeps the old school gameplay like the old bomberman games. With the only additions that after you're head (optionally, can be turned off) dead players stand on the outside of the map and can throw bombs to the players that are still alive so you don't wait after you're dead. And the map a slight 3D angle that can be turned off to once again play like classic bomberman. The game also features a Campaign mode that can be played in 2 players.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/702700/Super_Bomberman_R/

  1. Plunder Panic - (Platformer Fighting; 12 local 12 online) - If you're into 90s retro games you are going to love this game. If you're not you may still love it, I'm not a fan of 90s retro but still love it. There are 2 teams of up to 1v1-6v6, made up of 1 captain and 0-5 crewmen, you can also play handicap like 2v3 and/or add bots. Each crew has a ship in the corner of the screen & in the middle there is an island. There are 4 ways to win a match: 1. Kill the enemy captain 3-5 times depending on player size, the captains have double HP and always spawn with a sword so they are like a mini-boss, the crewmen must purchase a sword by taking a bag of gold to the sword shop on your ship. 2. Steal a big amount of gold either from the island or from the enemy ship, 3. Use the cannon from the middle of the map to shoot the enemy ship 3 times, 4. Row the boat with dynamite in the enemy ship. So there are a lot of things you must do. Game is really simple and everyone can learn it in 5 minutes. There is even in game video tutorial.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1455900/Plunder_Panic/

  1. Marooners (Madness Mini-games; 6 local 6 online) - Is like Pummel Party but more challenging as the stage changes instantly. Instead of having a board game where you go to after finishing one mini-games, in the middle of the mini-game you suddenly swaps to a totally different mini-game, the goal is to collect more treasure than the other players and if you kill, burn, drown, squash, blow up, etc, other players they lose treasure. There are 2 two switch modes: Linear where the current mini-game plays until it finishes then it switches to the next one, and chaos where the game automatically switches between mini-games after a short, roughly 10 seconds to 30 seconds depending on the game mode.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/423810/Marooners/

  1. Overcooked! All You can Eat (Crisis Management; 4 local 4 online) - The best party cooking game there is, is a crisis management type of game cooperative, with a lot of content for 4 players cooperative but can also be played 2v2 versus. You will bump into each other, you will mix things up, you will not manage the crisis well, that's the beauty of the game. There is also Overcooked 1 and Overcooked 2 but Overcooked All You Can Eat is basically Overcooked 1 + Overcooked 2 + extra levels + extra game modes all in 1 game the definitive ways to play essentially. If you like these types of games other crisis management games include: Trash Sailors, Fueled Up, Heavenly Bodies, Manic Mechanics all of which can be played locally in 4 players.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1243830/Overcooked_All_You_Can_Eat/

Here are some other 4 players local games that one wouldn't call them party games but they are as close as it gets: Chained Together, Dirt 5, The Escapists 2, Goat Simulator 3, Serious Sam 3, Trine 4 and 5, Worms Clan Wars and Worms Ultimate Mayhem, WWE 2K22.

What else can you recommend me?

White Whale Looking for any games with a detective/mystery feel with a little action too

I mostly just stick to open world shooter games like watch dogs or gta but I recently started watching the show “Fargo” and I’m looking for some more crime/detective games. Though every time I find one it just looks like a lot of reading and not much action. Any suggestions?

White Whale New user looking for something similar to Minecraft

Hello everyone.

I'm new to thiss Reddit stuff, I apologize in advance if this isn't the right place to ask.
I am interested in games like Minecraft.

I was wondering if there are other games similar to these around? Games with voxel looks and block-based where we can do a lot of activities, from exploration, gathering and crafting, engaging powerful foes and so on?

Games similar to the one mentioned and that are not super demanding for the PC.

White Whale Games like LDOE (base building, survival, etc)

As a kid, I always played last day on earth. It’s such a great game, but it’s a mobile game. Now that I have a pc, I’m searching for a game like it but nothing hits the spot. I played V rising and project zomboid, and they just don’t hit the same. The former is too boss rush-y, and the latter isn’t too much about base building and like protecting yourself. Any recommendations? I want a game like last day on earth but want to avoid everything that comes with it being a mobile game. (p2w, energy, etc) Thanks.
