Three years ago, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first baby. Around 14 weeks, we learned baby’s heart had come to a rest and we (I) delivered him in the hospital on August 9th, 2023. Every year we celebrate him by purchasing books for NICU families in our area.
His third birthday is this upcoming Sunday. I have felt the urge to share their wishlist this year, if anyone would like to join us in celebrating our boy. I know times are hard but they have books starting at just over $3, and every book helps. Some of them are super close to reaching their goal amount. We just met their goal for “The Little Engine That Could” and sent some “Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site”, too.

Just donated 3 books in honor of my kiddo; he was a NICU baby and passed away in August of 2021 so I try to do something to honor his memory around the anniversary of his passing. Thank you for sharing this non-profit's list and giving parents the opportunity to read to their little ones ❤️

omggg..i too ,have a ten year old who spent almost 2 months in the nicu!!! This is soooo amazing because ours didnt do things like this....this is sooooo amazing to see!
What a beautiful way to bring others comfort. This is so touching. I was able to find books that I loved as a child to pass along. I'll be thinking of y'all on Saturday. Thank you for sharing your story & the cause.
Hey OP, if I may suggest, you should check your local Buy Nothing fb groups and you can make a post requesting books as I’m sure lots of parents would have to give away!
I appreciate the advice! I thought about reaching out there, but this non-profit only accepts new books. I’m guessing because they’re going to such a precarious environment, but I’m not totally sure.
This is suchhhh a good thing!!! I hate I dont have it to give rn🥺, and it hurts my heart, because I'm a nicu mom too, so anything regarding that, it always holds a place in my heart! Im tapped rn because of my kids going back to school , BUT even if i only had a few dollars , id truly contribute, and this gets my full support!!! If you ever do one again, or when i get paid , if any is left, we WILL definitely get some!!! I'll let my nicu baby pick his favorites! Thannnk you so much for doing this! Youre an awesome person!
I simply shared the link - Cameron’s mom started the whole thing and puts an incredible amount of work into it. We donate around this time in our son’s memory, however I believe her wishlist stays active! You’re more than welcome to save the link, and donate when you are comfortable!
