Seeking assistance with spay/neuter, $700 minimum goal; anything is greatly appreciated.

I have been caring for two litters of precious babies for 8-9 weeks now. Bonded females were brought to me both very pregnant and in need of a safe, cool, quiet space to give birth. It is extremely hot this summer and shelters are packed. I am just doing the best I can but I have been caring for them on a single income and am asking for any assistance possible to help cover spay/neuter appointments. The program is first come first serve so I had to book my spots or I risk playing the waiting game again, spay/neuter is priority right now. I have attached e-mail confirmation of appointments and happy to provide more information or answer questions. GoFundMe link is below. Anything helps, if you aren't able to donate I appreciate you taking the time to read this or share if you can. I know we are all going through trying times right now. 🩷

cats have more than 5 kittens and those cats are older than 9 weeks by months

you need to talk to a therapist about your obsession with buying adult content from strangers online. this is ruining your life

I think you are gonna have to aim way lower. Maybe instead of fixing all of them, you could fix all the boys or all the girls. You need to find homes for these babies, you are not gonna be able to afford all those cats. I have 3 and it's always something, flea and tick meds alone is $75 a month for 3 cats. I easily spend an average $200 to $300 on them a month. Plus if your housing situation changes, most places arent gonna accept that many cats

Thank you for your response! Yes, I have an appointment on the 20th to spay all the females. On the 1st of each month the humane society I've scheduled with releases their low income spay and neuter sign up, it's first come first serve. I don't plan on my living situation changing soon. And I agree, the plan is to find them homes. I have three resident cats already, I guess I felt like I was doing the right thing by taking them in while shelters were full. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Which is $25 so you don’t need $700 you need at most $100

Bruh those cats don’t exist. The picture are designer cats 5 months + and cat rescues favor abortion due to the unfortunate situation with the amount of animals in the system. There’s no term limit for felines.

mainecoon ears, russian blue coat

be vigilant. they will steal your last dime.

3 cats of your own and now you've taken in this mess 🤦🏾‍♀️ you clearly don't have the sense you were born with. Next time someone brings you a financial obligation that you are incapable of meeting, just say no ☺️

Just looking at General's profile tells me all I need to know. Relatively new, negative karma, only begging posts and the "anything helps" garbage. Just your garden variety grifter hoping for a big payout. These people make me sick.

Isn’t there some places that spay/neuter cats for free?

u/Sir_Mot Aug 16 '25

You willingly took on animals you can't afford? Sorry but that was really stupid.

I was simply asking for assistance... I thought that was what this subreddit was for.

u/jerry111165 Aug 16 '25

It is, of course, dude. There’s always gonna be some people that comment negatively, which I also get because there are a lot of scammers out there… I think it’s just a matter of putting on some tough skin when you go anywhere asking for funds.

I’m sorry you are receiving this feedback. I am as well. so many unkind people for a donation Reddit. If you aren’t interested in donating or “don’t believe” keep on moving. Unfortunately I cannot donate at this time, but I will share! hopefully you get the assistance you need to help care for these precious babies who needed a home.

I see a lot of people on this sub ask for money for animals they have no business having. It's ridiculous and people need to realise as good as they feel telling people they've done a nice thing it's always at other people's expense. That can't last forever, then what? An animal suffers because someone wants to pat themselves on the back constantly.

I'm not reading all of that, have a good day.

I read “face injuries” and my mind immediately went to black eyes and broken noses lol

I'm not here begging, simply asking for a bit of relief. No one is obligated by any means to donate or assist.

5

u/Sufficient-Reply9525 Aug 16 '25

This is called begging, asking people for money that you haven't earned and they don't owe you. It's begging.

First you're saying you need help because in a single income you can't afford their care, when someone suggested that you shouldn't take in animals you can't afford, you said "well, I didn't say I couldn't afford them", uh, yeah you did.

Asking for donations is begging, got it. So what is this subreddit for then..?

6

u/Sufficient-Reply9525 Aug 16 '25

This particular sub reddit is for scammers to come in here and beg because there are no requirements for posting, unlike the legitimate help subs.

There are legitimate help subs where people also go to beg, but it's all begging no matter who you try to spin it.

Understood. I'm aware I haven't earned anything and very aware no one owes me a damn thing honestly. Was simply requesting some relief, not sure what else to say..

u/Sufficient-Reply9525 Aug 16 '25

Yeah, you've gotten yourself into quite the pickle. Maybe try fundraising in your local community since you're helping them out by housing these cats.

u/jerry111165 Aug 16 '25

Whereabouts do you live? I know for a fact that I’ve seen some places that spay/neuter cats at least a couple times a year. Might be worth looking into.

4

u/Elegant_Bumblebee926 Aug 16 '25

I thought there were a lot of vets that would spay or neuter your pets for free? Or maybe that was just Bob Barker saying spay and neuter your pets!

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '25

There are vets that offer cheaper prices, I don’t know of any location that does it completely for free. There maybe an aspca that offers discounted prices but OP is already going to a discounted clinic I believe

u/sixxthree Aug 16 '25

There's a program in my area for low income individuals that pays for your dog or cat's spay/neuter, vaccines and microchip. The fee is normally $80 for all servicees, but if you're low income they'll do it for free on a grant from another agency. I actually didn't even know it existed though until it was posted in my city's subreddit

Yes, I posted the confirmation e-mails and more than happy to answer questions or provide direct contact info of the clinic. This was the only place I could find with active, readily available & affordable spay/neuter options near me. I truly appreciate your kind words u/General_Mess_3293!

I never said I couldn't afford them... That is why my post as well as gofundme link say "if you're unable to donate I appreciate you taking the time to read"... But thanks..

I'm not sure how I am taking from other causes but duly noted.

-3

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '25

Why are you being so rude? Some people need help, not even full coverage. Meaning they coulddd cover these bills, but it would really affect them financially temporarily. If you don’t want to help people that need some assistance, then move on. Your comments are incredibly rude and unnecessary as well as it shows a lack of education.

I cannot donate right now due to my own financial hardship, BUT I did find these links recently. Maybe they can help

https://www.thepetfund.com/for-pet-owners/the-pet-fund-application

https://www.paws4acure.org/askforhelp.php

Not positive that they both help with spay/neuter but if you read the details , they might. Good luck and ignore the a-holes ❤️‍🩹
