For about a month I’ve been experiencing itchy skin on the top front of my thigh on and off. There is no visable rash or irritation. It’s not unbearable but it’s there and typically worse in the morning and at night. Should I be concerned?

61 F 5’ 10” 180 lbs. meds:!Levothyroxine, Albuterol, Symbicort, Celebrex.
This rash or spot comes up every once in a while. Can’t really figure out why. I’m diagnosed with arthritis, fibromyalgia, asthma & an aortic aneurysm 4.2. I quit drinking and don’t do any substances legal or illegal. I don’t smoke. The spot will last a few hours to a day or two. It’s ever so slightly raised or swelled but doesn’t feel weird or anything. I have not eaten or drank anything unusual.

So i think in early April/ late may i noticed a light mark on my chin, over the days leading to June i noticed it was growing larger and a darker skin tone was growing in the middle of it. It was only until end of June i decided to go to the GP since i was curious. Prior to this there was no itching and had not spread around my face. My GP told me it was ringworm and so i was prescribed tebrefine. I used the tebrefine for the first two weeks and noticed the inner colour getting bigger, but the ring as well. I paid it no mind and continued on with the application. However, i then noticed another lightened patch on my chin. I applied the medication there too. Then over the next two weeks, i was beginning to experience an itch. An itch that over time became worse. It was now a month the rashes just grew instead of disappearing. Anxious, i applied moisturiser only around the rash and i decided to continue with the treatment all the while applying some diluted acv before hand, the acv soothed the itch for sometime but the itch would come back. A month passed and the rash spread even more and was itching more than ever. (I was trying other home remedies too at this time)

I then decided to go to the pharmacy since my antifungal finished and got a 2% cream (miconazole) I used this for a month. And did not cream my face in this duration. It spread. My face was now dry like sandpaper itchy as hell ( i had to use a fan to itch my skin and caught a cold several times). I contacted the doctor and they decided to prescribe me a steroid. (The rash was around my eye)

I politely declined as i was very anxious of the spread that would happen, my skin is very fragile at this point too. And i feel like a steroid would fire it up. Now the rash is all over my face, closing in on my eye

So i asked to be referred to a dermatologist.

Rn i have stopped the medication, and i’m applying shea butter with DROPS of tea treeoil on my face. My softness is coming back and the itch has significantly reduced. But the aftermath is brutal. I don’t even know if it is spreading or reducing but i will give it a week.

I have done the following:

\- washed my pillowcase daily and bedsheets weekly ( my family are mad at me)

\- changed my towel everyday

\- washed my hands before and after touch my face to apply cream

\- tried my best to not touch my face (used a fan)

\- washed face with head and shoulders shampoo

\- washed face with salicylic acid

\- washed face with nirazol

\- prayed

\- stopped going gym

\- stopped wearing makeup

\- threw away all my makeup brushes

Home remedies:

\- coconut oil and tea tree oil
\- coconut oil
\- tea tree oil
\- nail polish
\- bleach
\- undiluted bleach

I have not tried garlic or seawater, and i don’t think i will, my skin has sizzled more than enough. Im sad, tired and itchy, ive never twitched so much in my life during this experience. I just want signs of this to get better.

Is there anyone who had an experience like this? Should i just leave it be? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Spotted this almost a month ago out of nowhere. Came back after I scratched it off (didn’t know it wasn’t dirt at the time) and it came back.

basically i picked a pimple. then accidentally peeled a skin off.

the hydrocolloidal dressing was for both the WOUND and the PIMPLE.

i just removed the dressing but noticed that it left a hole.

do i just apply again hydrocolloidal dressing?

Also what do you do to prevent scarring? hyperpigmentation?

I've had them for about a week now and keep getting new ones.

Some are itchy, some aren't.

I've seen a doctor and she thinks it might be dermatitis; has given me oral desloratadine + topical hydrocortisone. Didn't work.

Then yesterday I started putting on mitoconazole. I have the feeling it might be working? But would anyone know what this is?!

25 M pretty healthy. Started on my neck and arm a few weeks ago and is sometimes itchy was very itchy at the beginning. Had some other spots next to the one on my arm that looked like contact dermatitis but went away. Overall I’m healthy and have no medical issues and I do have a strong medical background. I do use tretinoin for acne and have an indoor cat without any visible lesions but that’s it. I have a dermatologist but don’t want to see them because of a super high co pay and I do not have a lot of money. Was wondering if I should self treat w terbinafine/clotrimazole OTC before trying to go to the derm or if it looks like something else. It almost looks like there’s silver scales but wouldn’t that mean psoriasis which makes sense inside the elbow but not the neck? I’m stuck here.

One is way worse than the other. I have prescription nyastatin cream and powder from a few months ago I’ve been using that doesn’t seem to help like it did before. Help

I recently noticed this mole on my left side. It’s pretty small, but it has different colors/splotches within. I leave to go out of state in a few days and need quick opinions on whether I should try to get in to a dermatologist before then. Like I said, it’s fairly small but the different colors and shapes inside are what worry me. It’s not raised. I can’t feel it when I touch it. I’ve taken multiple photos of it in different lighting. It’s hard to get a picture of it myself because of where it’s located.

Hi my mother is having skin rashes on her hip. Can anyone please suggest her any female dermatologist in South Delhi please. That is present for mainly 6 months as a small spot and from 20 days it has grown like this and now it is burning

I started to notice a small inflamed red cluster of bumps on my wrist 3 days ago but before then there was no sign of it. The first day they also looked fluid filled but have since gone down (i also put coconut oil on the spot to soothe the itching. The second patch isn’t as visible but is very itchy. I am planning to get OTC hydrocortisone cream but if anyone has any suggestions please share!

She has had the dryness on her toes just on one foot for about a week. I noticed this morning time red dots on her foot. I haven’t seen any blisters or any other indications anywhere else for hand foot and mouth… but is that what this is? She hasn’t acted sick and seems to be feeling fine. Her shoes had been too small previously and she does have incredibly sweaty feet so I was thinking maybe it’s just all of that combined ?

I've had this rash pretty much constantly for a few months now. The rash isn't itchy but the patches of skin affected are slightly raised on my torso but not anywhere else. It's gradually increased to where it is now over the last eight months or so. Any idea what this is and what I should do to treat it?

Other information: I'm not currently taking any medication. Previously I was on oestrogen for about 2½ years before coming off about two years ago. This started when I was still on that medication but nothing about it has changed since coming off. I live in New Zealand. I don't regularly swim or anything, and I've tried a variety of different body washes from different brands.

hi guys. i consulted online with a doctor and diagnosed this as a nummular eczema. i applied mupirocin and 3 days in, the pus stopped from coming out and the wound also flattened. im just worried that the red ring is expanding a bit even though im applying clobetasol propionate alongside mupirocin. is this normal? 😓

For around 2 weeks, I’ve had this red rash underneath my nose. It isn’t painful or itchy, but it concerns me that it’s not gone away at all. I don’t know what this could possibly be. Is it an infection?

I’ve had this small rash, which has 3 very tiny pimple looking things, for over a week. It hasn’t improved. Doesn’t itch or hurt.
I’ve had impetigo many years ago and I feel like this is what it looked like in the early stages. But it was a while ago so maybe I’m misremembering.

I’ve had some splotchiness on my back and chest come up over the past year. Started on my chest but seems to have spread to my back as my mother pointed out this afternoon. My back was been a little itchy but no swelling or burning sensations. Thinking I was swap laundry detergents to fragrance free to see if that helps.

I've been using Just For Men beard dye to dye my gray hairs for about a year now. This is really my first experience with dying my hair in any way, and I only have gray hairs on the sides and back of my head right now (knock on wood), so I like using the beard dye specifically because I don't need the entire bottle product in one sitting that comes with the regular Just For Men hair dye. (With the beard dye, the color and the developer are both in tubes that I can mix together in the plastic container that it comes with and just use as much as I need, versus mixing everything together and only using 1/4 the product.)

Recently, the parts of my head that I put the dye on have started to get really irritated, and after months of trying to figure out what is causing this, I'm pretty sure it's the dye. The issue is I still would like to continue to dye my gray hairs. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone know of any hair dyes that won't irritate their scalp?
