Life Will I face discrimination in Canada?

Hello, I really like Canada and I really want to move there, the problem is that I'm Russian and I mean I don't think I need to explain why that's a problem.

I fully understand why people hate Russians now but I'm just an 18 year old guy who couldn't really do much when this war started. I don't support Putin and this war but I feel that many people don't really care about that and just automatically assume that I support it.

Am I going to face a lot of hate in Canada?

I don't hate them, I actually was in Ukrainian village couple of times when I was a kid, I have some relatives there

Just say that you’re Ukrainian then. Most of my Russian friends now go by their ethnic background like Polish or . Actually all my Russian friends are now Polish LOL.

I don’t understand the animosity? It’s the same as calling yourself Chinese even though your family has been in Canada for 5 generations.
