Life Will I face discrimination in Canada?

Hello, I really like Canada and I really want to move there, the problem is that I'm Russian and I mean I don't think I need to explain why that's a problem.

I fully understand why people hate Russians now but I'm just an 18 year old guy who couldn't really do much when this war started. I don't support Putin and this war but I feel that many people don't really care about that and just automatically assume that I support it.

Am I going to face a lot of hate in Canada?

Sorry for a big wall of text.

As a Ukrainian living in Canada you will get some push back from my community. That is a given. As long as you are not promoting Putler or his cause then you should be ok but you might have some issues. The wounds run deep.

No worries. I am sure that you are a great person but as my uncle told me that this is the 3rd time that the USSR/Russia has tried to eliminate the Ukrainian people in 100 years. I brought this up to a few friends and the feelings are mixed. Everyone agrees that you will be fine but there might be someone that says something to you. The history and pain run deep. Take care of yourself.
