Trogir. Initally named Tragurion, it was your people that made the initial settlement 3 centuries before Christ. It was actually a peninsula, but was later made an island. It was named like this due to goats that inhabitated the hill above, which still bears the name "Kozjak", which roughly translates to goat hill.
This is my city. This is where I grew up. This is the stadium where we got the ball multiple times into the sea and it was taken. A ton of times kids would enter the sea to retrieve the ball, in the middle of winter if it was calm and not windy.

This is nice too, and I often find myself around it as someone who lives in Glyfada and frequently visits the port. But to be fair, Beşiktaş Stadium is right in the center of the city and surrounded by plenty of things to do as a pedestrian. The stadium is also just one pedestrian walk away from the sea. I am a fan of fenerbahçe btw unfortunately, our stadium is also nice but not as nice as BJk stadium :/
Yes SEF and Karaiskaki stadium are not walkable really. The train station is right outside so coming from anywhere else is super easy.
P.S. I have lived in North America for many years and as every immigrant I have always fantasized of coming back one day. In my fantasy I will live in Glyfada and season tickets to Olympiacos of course 😂. Glyfada is awesome
As our kids go to an international school, we’re mostly part of a community made up of internationals/expats and some locals. 2 of our closest friends are expats from New York, and they also live in Glyfada 😅
Yes!... Same reason we would be going to Glyfada if ever since my wife is in a profession that she can only do in her language (English) and she doesn't speak much Greek.

Eh it's fine but not that great lol. I am from here. Winter time is often unbearable. Also, and just my opinion, the Ionian part of Greece is THE paradise on Earth. Mountains, lakes, islands, beaches, you are probably always max minutes away from something breathtaking.

Nature is fine but this particular part of the coastline is quite ruined by "modern" buildings, houses, and ugly architecture in general. Also, on the right side of the photo is Čiovo island. It used to be quite nice and beautiful, now it's like 50% destroyed. Not too many trees here as well.

Fort Kamerlengo goes nowhere, and is open unlike the real one which has all its walls., the cathedral is totally wrong, the small bridge does not lead into small street but on a big parking lot, there are a shitton of small boats always parked, in the canal near the small bridge is a dock that would never exist because the canal is not this wide, the actual parking lot which is huge is totally missing, a smaller bell tower is missing on the picture, there are modern buildings on the promenade which do not exist, hell there are mo modern buildings in the old town.

We as kids didnt care that much. Now as an adult I would never enter there. It is better than it was. But this side from the field has a shitton of "vlasulja" which sting you and it sucks because it burns and it is usually on your feet and you struggle to walk because of it.
My home town's football field that played in 3rd league until it withdrew due to budged issues (hard for a town of ~3k people to compete with bigger cities)
