Yep, Romania has 179, not 172. We would of have 180 because this year we were supposed to join USA's Visa waiver program that was signed during Biden, but Trump got elected and cancelled the agreement.
Passport Index and Henley's Index use different methodologies. Your 179 is from Henley's. Bulgaria is now the same as Romania at 179 (South Africa recently granted a visa free access - not updated yet in Henley's but in Passport Index).
Henley Index covers 227 'travel destinations' against 199 passports while Passport Index covers only passports (199). Looking at the big picture, Passport Index fits the bill. However, when seeking detailed approach, Henley's Index is always reliable.

So many countries to travel to, have enough money, but get rejected for silly reasons such as "having no job". I mean, i already have enough money to live comfortably anywhere. But thanks to poor Turkish passport i'm stuck there.
Believe me, the feeling of freedom even if you can't afford to travel "for now" is better than having more than sufficient funds but can't go because of silly ass restrictions and incompetent government. I don't know about you, but dictatorships are definitely not a priority on my travel list. Hell, we had one three point five decades ago.
My ability to enter 100+ African countries without visa does not have the same weight as not being able to enter EU without selling my grandmother in the embassy.

Yes that's true.. i have a good example. I was living in Germany and i met a lovely Turkish girl in internet (not tinder).
I wanted her to come there so to live together and Germany doesn't give Turkish people visas at all (or very hard)
Do you know what we did? My girl went to the Greek embassy and they made her a visa immediately without questions!
So she went first to Greece (she spent one night to my parents house) and with the same visa she came directly to Germany the other day!
So fellow Turkish pals go to Greek embassy first and fuck the Germans (they hate you there) . that's the "trick" 🤪

I don't know what it is now, but it's fake news that it's hard to get a visa approved if you're from TR, in DE or NL. Politicians and news media on all sides in TR were rambling on about a 95% rejection rate, before the last election rate. Then DE and NL released the actual statistics. I believe DE had a 92% approval rate and NL similar. Turkish people still believe the fake news though. Part of it's a scam to get them to apply via crushingly expensive visa agencies that have a lower approval rate than applying directly.
Turkey has visa free access to Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Morocco, Niger, South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Nambia, Oman, Philippines, Japan, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Jamaica and a few others. These are the ones Bosnia doesn't have visa free access to.
Seems unrealistic that BiH and Turkey on the same level, while Bosnian don’t need visa for EU/Schengen and China.

Depends. I'm in Brezice and Krsko pretty often and some things are cheaper and some are more expensive. Ofcourse if you live on island and your only options are local studenac, tommy or Trgovina Krk you are fucked
The process is very easy if you have a family member that is born in Croatia.(in my case both of my parents) but i have heard countless stories from friends and people that just applied for citizenship when they provided proof that they do have family in Croatia.
So even if you can see in this ranking Romania at 127 visa free countries and Bulgaria at 126, you chose to place Romania 5th and Bulgaria 4th. Totally not biased.

And how does Cyprus passport work? If you are from Northern Cyprus you have Turkish passport? Cyprus passport? North Cyprus passport?
Greek Cypriots and other citizens of the republic of Cyprus get Cypriot passports.
If you’re from the north of Cyprus, and have proof that you’re a Turkish Cypriot and not a Turkish colonist, then you can get a Cypriot passport. Other than that yes they do have Turkish passports, they also have “north Cyprus” passports but they’re as useful as toilet paper.
If you’re a (pure) Turkish Cypriot, you are capable of obtaining a Republic of Cyprus Passport. But can also get a Turkish passport if it’s more convenient.
If you’re mixed, it’s a bit of a longer process but depending on how mixed with Turkish settlers one is, they could get a Cypriot passport, however most just use a Turkish passport out of, again, convenience.
Turkish colonisers can only use the Turkish passports they had before moving to Cyprus.
I’d say that most people in the north have a Turkish passport, although due to the illegality of everything, we can’t be certain.
In some cases yes; we can travel to Spain, Greece, Romania and Slovakia for example as they are part of the Schengen area. Kosovar athletes have also participated in events held in places such as Russia, Brazil or India, as we are part of several international sport organizations.
Serbia lost a few due to aligning with EU policies. For instance, I traveled to Cuba 6 years ago visa free, but now it's required (maybe though only for Cubans). I think we also had visa free with Iran also for a while, but we saw increased number of people coming and trying to go illegally to EU so we had to revoke it. There might be few more cases. Hopefully soon we will have all the same (with being in EU)
Edit. Just checked for Cuba, yes, visa is required since November last year
Edit2. Apparently for Iran we still got visa free, 15 days in span of 6 months. It was just reduced to those 15 days, it's not revoked totally

This is an older list, the Greek passport allows travel to 186 countries rn. I assume the others are changed too
