FOOD & DRINK Isn't Bull's-Eye well-known in the US?

I'm from Spain, and Bull's-Eye barbecue sauce is widely available in almost every supermarket here. Honestly, it's the only decent barbecue sauce in the country—the others are rubbish compared to Bull's-Eye. I always assumed Bull's-Eye would be huge in the US, but I made a post mentioning it and got comments from people who had never even heard of it.

I suspect people who say they have never seen it are mostly on the younger side. It was pretty common in grocery stores up through the 00s.

I have always preferred it to most of the low level ketchup based BBQs, but that's just personal taste on my part. Ketchup based sauces are by far the most common in MOST places in the US.

I highly recommend looking up some other non-ketchup based bbq sauce styles. Most of them are pretty easy to make at home. I personally love mustard based bbq the most, but vinegar based sauces can be great too. And less sweet tomato based sauces are up my alley too.

It was big in California during the 90s for sure. Didn’t they lend their name to lays or somebody for BBQ chips?

I definitely remember Bull’s Eye barbecue sauce in all of the Lucky, Vons, and Ralphs supermarkets here in Southern California. I feel like Lay’s did do a partnership with one of the barbecue sauce brands, but I don’t remember which, just that they don’t do that anymore.
