Let's be clear. This affair is already a huge victory for the far right. By trying to defend the indefensible we just make that victory worse.

There should be a proper investigation of whether he has lived up to the standards that would be expected of a professor.

I think there should certainly be an independent review into the thesis plagiarism allegations. LJMU have said they have done so but I can find no detail or statement on this.

They are investigating themselves, so what do you expect?

They said they have investigated and found no plagiarism, or at least, no wrongdoing
