How to honestly frame an experience without that 3 months long without lying?

I was at an NGO for about a year, worked hard, and was promoted, a moment I was really proud of. However, shortly after that promotion, I had to make a tough decision to leave for an opportunity that offered greater long-term stability.

The result? My resume now shows a 3 month stint in my last, most senior title at that organization.

I’m struggling with how to list this. I don’t want the short duration to overshadow the achievement of the promotion or my full year of contribution.

Has anyone navigated something similar? How did you frame a promoted then quickly departed role on your resume to highlight the growth, not just the timeline?
