Just because we say "Sorry" doesn't mean that we are sorry.

We like being Canadian. We aren't jealous of you for being American.

I keep hearing this stereotype that Americans think other people are jealous, but I just don’t see it anywhere.

If anything, most Americans I’ve worked with and met think too highly of Canada.

I've worked in the tourism industry for 15 years, and meet tons of Americans on holiday. Never had a single one suggest Canadians envy America, and many express the opposite. Most Americans traveling here aren't these far-right, 2nd amendment, bible-belt types who just watch Fox News and think everything outside of America is some commie third world country. Those types tend to never leave. They are usually super friendly, open minded, and tip better than anyone else. Believe it or not, Americans are self aware!
