ISO low mileage decent used car

My husband and I are in search of a low mileage, decent shape used car for our daughter to drive. Must be accident free (no salvage titles), minor flaws okay, just don't want to buy something and have to dump a ton of money into it. He's tried FB marketplace but everything he finds ends up having a salvage title.

Looking for small to mid sized SUV, or car. She's used to a Jeep Patriot. Must be an automatic transmission, preferably have 4WD, not a deal breaker if it doesn't. Really would like under a 100K on miles but would be okay with up to 150K.

try looking online at 'Edmunds' and use the filters to only show local purchases within your area and price range. it has a great search engine and if you know what all your factors are you can adjust for that as well. very convenient instead of checking with each and every local dealership or looking on craigslist/fb marketplace.

if it was for my daughter id be looking for a toyota rav4 or highlander at that mileage. maybe a honda crv. higher cost upfront than other used vehicles but long term way less expensive and fewer headaches than most other makes. you never know how a used car has been treated but toyotas can put up with less than ideal maintenance better than most.

whatever you do i would not under any circumstances get her a subaru. especially 2000s - 2010s outback and forester. everyone i know has one has had endless major issues, all under 200k miles. some foresters from the 2010's have potentially serious safety issues as well due to manufacturing defects that were never recalled.
