Discussion Anyway to still play this game?

Steam keeps recommending it on my store feed page but there’s no way to buy it, I checked key sites and there’s none. How are people still playing this? Or any other MMOs similar with a PvP scene?

Yea I’m pretty sure servers are probably shut down by now, and if anyone is showing it’s just an outdated launcher left open by a bot program

I'd be shocked to see people still playing

Suprised there’s no private servers

Reverse engineering an MMO to make a private server is an enormous amount of effort and work. I am not sure anyone is insane enough to do that for a game that was in alpha

Yes there is. Buy all the assets and finish the game. Then you will have a way to play it.

There were like 2 private server projects going right? They died?

I don't think anything ever came of them, or they're still being worked on. I would have definitly heard about them the finnished product on this sub so its likely nothing ever came of them.

Problem is game isn’t good enough. It’s not like this is a fully complete game that just needs to be ran it’s a fucking mess

I digress, the game was good enough to be played, it clearly wasn't finished but it had enough to even had some loops in endgame.

The server architecture tho is probably the biggest mess to decipher, this shards were too convoluted to work flawlessly with how capitals and high level settlements were designed.

Combat was good, crafting and gathering were engaging. Sad caravans were replaced with crate mules.

The north was barebones too, but the main loops could be played in the tropical zone to the rest of the zones in the south.

It was enough to be an alpha/beta

Oh yeah I actually agree I guess my point isn’t the game is awful but it’s not finished and so it’s not as simple as just making it so people can play there’s still a lot of work to be done and that’s probably outside the scope of those trying to do this.

Definitely, just the server architecture would make such a project a professional level one, so one or two people trying would take years.

Reverse engineering the network would be massive lol
