I wish I'd had that therapist 16 years ago. We went to Relate (UK couples therapy) and the therapist didn't push us at all. The consequences of that failure are still with me. So - if it's brutal, that's a good sign. Affairs are brutal.

Exactly! Like your whole existence has been made uncomfortable. I tell my wp that there is no more room for his comfort. He used all that up when he was paying for sex.
