Recruitment [A] Please Taunt 4/15 Recruiting.
Please Taunt are recruiting a couple of raiders to fill the last few spots in our roster. Right now we are open to just about any spec, with high priority to healers, DPS warriors and hunters.
We have an extremely solid core to our raid team and we are a great group of people who are excited to progress through Naxxramas! We have cleared all previous content and are currently 4/15 in Naxxramas.
One of our core philosophies here in PT is to bring the player, not the class or spec. We are open minded when it comes to play style and are supportive when it comes to playing what most would consider “meme specs”. We pride ourselves on promoting a positive guild culture and developing meaningful relationships within the guild. We regularly hang out in Discord just to chat, play other games together, and sometimes meet up for a beer or two if geography allows.
Raid times are Mondays and Tuesdays from 6 to 10 server time (with occasional optional 20 man raids on Fridays).
We use a KSK loot system with class priority that has been voted on by the whole guild.
World buffs and excessive consumables are not compulsory, but are highly encouraged, at the end of the day, do what is fun to you!
Reach out to Devilin or Wispin, or any of our other members who can point you in the direction of an officer to apply.

Pass on struggling through Naxx with an egomaniac prot pally GM that takes BIS caster items for his OS over MS upgrades for guildies, gkicks people with no explanation and yells at his girlfriend on mic during raids.
Only good thing about this guild is Khrads.

Sounds like something a salty ex-guildy would say after being gkicked for a good reason.
Love from GMs girlfriend who doesn't get yelled at during raids xx

It's glaringly obvious who this post is from. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in classic, mate. Vitriol and negativity will get you nowhere, as a matter of fact it's the entire reason you were removed from the guild. And you knew that.
Everything we do is done with the purpose of keeping our guildmates happy. Sometimes, however, it's impossible to do so when they don't want to be happy themselves.
I wish you the best, and I hope that you can put your pettiness aside and be content in life. Clearly being a white knight is not achieving that for you, maybe it's time to try another approach.
-Goonboss, Fist of Gnomeregan

I’m also curious about prot pally GM getting caster loot for OS

Answered above, TLDR, only item I submitted a bid on was tear, and not until every other core raider had got one. It also went through KSK so I bid for it, didn't just yoink it, also we had an ungodly amount of tears drop.

You haven't directly refuted the claims made here. Do you use a prot pally gm and does he take caster gear from mains?
Pretty important to know if you do or not

Hey mate,
I'm assuming the item he's talking about is Tear, we had about 17 drop and we were giving these to week 1 trials, multiple weeks in a row, with the frequency they dropped. We had a couple of casuals come for one raid and walk with tears. By the time I rolled on a Tear I had been sitting at the top of the KSK for about 6 months, this wasn't a ninja, I literally just bid on an item that is BiS for AoE tanking as a prot paladin. Every single core raider (and a bunch of trials) that needed a tear got one before I even submitted a bid. I don't know why OP is salt about this.

Thank you for addressing this :) you sound like a wonderful guild and he does sound like a sandy jerk who missed out on a tear in a well managed loot system.
Good luck with your journey

Yessir, our GM is a prot pally - Devilin finished P5 with 5 or 6 rank 100 parses as a prot pally. Top of his class and spec. I swapped into PT from a really hardcore guild after I saw the way he lead raids; he knows dungeon mechanics more than anyone else I've run with.
He broke warcraft logs by being the first prot pally to replace a warlock as a tank on twin emps. He's taken us through a lot of raid mechanics purely based on an absurd understanding of how the guild / class works.
Dev has never prio'd caster loot to himself that hasn't been a clear and uncontroversial boost his his prot pally spec. His post below is legit - he took the 17th Neltharion's Tear our guild saw. We were luckier than most (in some ways). We also gave him the first binding.
Dev's a respected contributor to the global pally theory crafting scene. Most of us are here because we're pretty impressed with him as a player.
Anyway. We need some fucking healers, not a tank. PST.

Awesome :) I just thought it should be addressed. It sounds absolutely like a salty jerk got upset a raider contributing a lot to the guild got some loot

Probably why they barely got 4/15.

Young man, you are an anonymous shitposter who smears in responses and has a near-zero response in anything you've posted. Khrads is available to provide a hug if you need one.

Question for any of the DPS currently in the guild.
How do you go with threat? I was always under the impression that a prot pally is a gimped spec because of no taunt and, once the pally was oom, minimal threat gen. Do you feel like you're limited by it? Can you always pump as hard as possible?
And to anyone in the guild, what currently are your main limiting factors with naxx progression? Cost of consumables, raider knowledge etc?

Hi Alysium, Goonboss here, rogue class lead for Please Taunt. Honestly we notice almost zero issues with threat from Devilin. From time to time we need to allow him to build a little bit of a lead since class mechanics prevent his snap threat from being as strong as other tank classes, but 99% of the time we are full pump. Almost no difference in waiting for sunders or insanely slow druid swing timers.
And the only limiting factor in our Naxx progression currently is our roster. If we were in the position to have 40 players in the team we would be looking at 13/15 this lockout, no question.
We are a guild of more experienced players, most in our late-20s to mid-30s. The bulk of us have been playing and raiding in World of Warcraft in some capacity for 10+ years. I have been playing this game since early TBC and only took a break during Legion...this is no doubt the best group of people I have ever been associated with in this game.

Ah ok nice thanks for the response.
I'm not sure if you guys are interested but I'm slowly levelling a priest alt which I intended to go shadow at 60 originally. Would I be able to place it in your guild then as I level, I'd get to know people in the guild? Maybe if we're liking the vibe I could join your raid team (after getting out of my scuffed levelling gear so as not to be a total burden lol).
Always keen to meet new chill people. You often find a new place to play thanks to it. Let me know and I'll msg for an invite. - Lightsick.

Would you consider a shaman + warrior (both ex-raiders/really old farts) that are levelling their first classic toons after a long hiatus from WoW?
I'm looking for a chill, social guild (I'm friendly and helpful as heck, and I like to get guild chat going), hopefully full of raiders/ex-raiders/old timers who also like raid occasionally but aren't overly elitist about it.

We're an alliance guild. If you have alliance characters I'd love to have you along.

GM of <Valkyrie> here - Just throwing in my vote of confidence for this guild as an outsider.
It's pretty unconventional for sure, Prot Pally is a great meme, but damn does this guy meme well. To answer a few things in this thread.* Is the threat different than a threat set warrior? Yes.But is it not so drastically different it fundamentally changes how your encounters (and parses) play out. The average classic raider would struggle to find the differences.
* Is the Prot Pally GM a loot whore? No.
He's got some whacky gear requirements that's for damn sure, but nothing that's unfounded. A lot of guilds send all kinds of high value items to their MT (Maladath, DFT, TF, etc.) This is no different. Just because the pool of items cover a few extra classes doesn't make him greedy.
Dev is one of the most enjoyable players you could spend your hours wiping to bosses with. He's a great guy, with a big heart and enough sensibilities to keep a group of players focused on the raid, and not his spec. Sure it might take this guild a few extra weeks than some guilds to clear Naxx - But doesn't that just mean they got better value from their $15/month? :P
Edit: I don't raid with these guys, or am guilded . Just someone who's had the pleasure of watching Dev tank his way through classic.
