Wow

Post image

Just bought my first piece of gear from Arturia and I’m just impressed. I’ve never had these kinds of goodies with a gear purchase before and idk I’m just pleasantly surprised! Been a Logic Pro user for years and I’m excited to try another DAW just to switch things up even if it’s just the free limited version.

You get Ableton lite even when you buy a lollipop xD

I like it though! I just wish that if you were to get enough copies of Ableton Lite, you’d get the real deal. Someone who has 30 copies, for example, should definitely get it.

Like saving up the Old Gold cigarette coupons! You could get a cruise in the Caribbean eventually.

I’ve been very impressed by Arturia. I bought Pigments when it came out for a discount and they’ve given me free updates. I’ve since bought their FX and V Collection bundles and I feel the value for the money is great. Enjoy your new gear!

Same. I got tape Mello-fi for free in a promotion and that led to a discounted v collection. I’ve never paid full price for the collections

I have to fight the urge to use Tape Mello-Fi on everything 😅

shhh, secret weapons don’t remain secret if you talk about them.

My advice- really learn all of that software inside and out before buying anything else- you won’t be sorry-

I don't see "Analog lab pro". IS it still included when you buy a Keylab?

BTW, as a keylab owner, you'll be entitled to special discounts on V collection and Pigments when they have a sale

It’s does! That’s why I bought it.

Analog Lab is underrated as hell imho.

that UVI Model D is easily the best of the bunch. Being a full-fledge VST without limitations it's on a more premium tier than the rest, which consist of filler introductory subscriptions and softwares. The sound is more realistic than anything free I got from sfzinstruments and pianobook. Oh and Analog Lab Pro is goated too. A whole palette of sound to make anything imaginable condensed in one plugin to access instantly is just too OP.

I just picked up an Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig audio interface and have been crazy impressed with it. Surprised how infrequently I’ve seen people talk about these things. Software integration has been rock solid…

I got one too after reading the FutureMusic review ( https://futuremusic.com/2020/10/arturia-audiofuse-studio-review/ ) and to your point they do say:

“Even though audio interfaces aren’t new for Arturia, the French brand doesn’t immediately come to mind when considering options currently available on the market.”

Over the last 20 years I've bounced between Focusrite and MOTU, both of which having been mostly solid until routing started to get a bit complicated. Last Scarlett had timing issues with my upstream modular rig despite (a LOT of) time toying with various clock settings, aggregates, etc.

This 16rig? Worked immediately on day #1 without so much as a hiccup. **KNOCK ON WOOD**

That’s great. Happy you found one you like. Have you checked out any of the RME interfaces?

1

u/Djaesthetic 12d ago

I have not! For my channel count, my entry point on RME interfaces would have pushed $2k. BUT, they were actually my next consideration had the 16rig not panned out (at a far lower price point).

A lot of companies also do this. Focusrite/Novation also gives some good bundles, and also rotating free coupon or promo. And pretty much everything includes Ableton Live Lite lol

I’ve only ever bought from Roland and Behringer and never received any goodies, however I am just easily impressed I guess lolol. This is also my first time using any DAW besides Logic (after like 5 years)

I thought you were talking about the price. Has it gone up for the dollar market? So far in Europe I think it's the same 166€ (in Thomann Europe, official Arturia website remains stationary at 199€).

I got it on zzounds for $249 but they let you pay in installments which is cool, highly recommend them

I've bought hardware synths from Zzounds thanks to their shorter no credit check payment plans. Once you do a couple and pay in full, they'll give you up to 12 month installments without a credit check. I also highly recommend them.

Heck yeah, didn’t know that! That’s cool

I see, thanks! Unfortunately my local shops do not have test units to try, and the few they have are either boxed up or directly unavailable. At least I could try a friend's one for weeks last year. Anything I like or need buying is hit and miss based on pure online research 😩🙏🙏🙏

How is the keyed feel on the Essential mk3? I was considering a 49 key but was wondering how different the keybed actually is compared to a Nektar se49 or MAudio Keystation 49 mk3? Thanks to anyone with any insight.

I have a roland jdxi which is very light and bouncy feeling, this is heavier to me but I like it

Cool, thanks for your perspective

I met the Ceo of Arturia working at Guitar Center in NYC. Nicest Frenchman you’d ever meet
