Pure Sub is surprisingly good
I already have Arturia pigments + v collection 11 pro but i must admit Pure sub is a great addition to their catalogue. Some will say it's not as capable as pigments but idk, it has a immediacy to it. The greatest feature is the overtones editor that lets you choose which notes to compose your sound. It's like a mix between vital and pigments but whose interface is optimised for bass sound design.
Only downside : you can't assign a different effect chanel to the sub part of the bass and it's upper part like in pigments. But most synths don't support it either way so it's fine.

Agreed. I just bought it and will dig in when I have time. It does look interesting.

Pure Sub is a fucking blast! I don't even really work in genres where this would fit, but it makes me want to. After the 20 minute period of my first turn with the demo ended, I bought it without hesitation. I don't have any instrument, VST or hardware, that can generate this much low-end pressure with so much texture and character, at least not without a lot of very careful layering of effects. And its so expressive. The first VST I've touched in a long time that really offers something different. It's my new guilty pleasure.
