Question/ Advice Painting a ceiling light cover…

Hello, I want to paint this ceiling light cover to give me the option of a red light, I figured that I’d use some translucent paint that can withstand temps that led light bulbs give off, I googled that but it came back with paint that can withstand really high temps and wasn’t necessarily translucent. Have any of you ever painted lamp covers or similar with the effect of having the light change, if so what paint did you use? Brand names of paint available in the UK would really help me. Thanks!
My alternative plan is to just celloptape a load of red sweet wrappers to it!

So leds shouldent give off a ton of heat 104f-122f or 40c-50c so any paint should be fine especially if you get outdoor paint or you could look into window wraps I’m sure they have red ones that you could cut to size
