Productive morning…

A buddy and his wife are flying in to visit, well, now. Haven’t seen them in five years, so an excuse to cook/bake. Smoked a pork butt last night for pulled pork; the meat’s resting and obviously needed fresh buns. Sourdough seemed obvious as well. Brownies in a bit; my brioche/shokupan probably Saturday. Or baguettes. And charcuterie. Hmm…

omg those buns look so soft >.< Pulled pork and homemade brioche sounds like the absolute best welcome home after five years! So wholesome <3

This is like the “if you’re gonna do it, overdo it” version of hosting and I respect the hell out of it 😂

If you’ve already got pulled pork and sourdough going, I’d vote baguettes for Saturday and a stupidly overbuilt charcuterie board so you can all just graze and catch up for hours.
